ABOUT MUNICIPAL MANAGER 

Mr. SG Sgojo (Municipal Manager)

The Municipal Manager is the head of the municipal administration as well as being the accounting officer for the purposes of financial management and accountability. The roles and responsibilities of the Municipal Manager include the following:

• Formation of an economic, effective and accountable administration;
• Implementation of the municipality’s Integrated Development Plan;
• Management of service delivery to the communities of Inkwanca Local municipality;
• Appointment of staff and their management, effective utilization, training and development;
• Maintenance of discipline of staff, promotion of sound labour relations and compliance with applicable labour legislation;
• Advise political decision makers and mange communication between them and the administration;
• Implementing the decisions of the council;
• Administration of municipal by-laws and implementation of provincial and national legislation,
• Facilitate the participation of the local community in the municipal affairs.
